Be prepared for the 3rd Call in the Danube Transnational Programme
The Danube Transnational Programme organises in collaboration with partners in the Danube Region thematic seminars for the 3rd call for project proposals. The thematic seminars aim at providing valuable information on the thematic priorities in the Danube Transnational Programme and how to link projects to the EU Strategy for the Danube Region to maximise their impact. On 15 January, applicants have the opportunity to get more information on Governance and meet representatives from Priority Area 10 "Institutional Capacity and Cooperation" and Priority Area 9 "People and Skills".

On 4 and 5 December 2018, the partnership on Affordable Housing of the Urban Agenda organises the international conference "Housing for all. Affordable Housing in Growing Cities in Europe" in Vienna. The conference discusses which conditions are necessary to make affordable housing work and howt cities and business benefit from it.

15th PA10 Steering Group Meeting in Prague, CZ
​One of the most important tasks of the priority area coordinators is to guide activities of the representatives of 14 Danube countries into similar direction. The Steering Group (SG) should meet at least twice a year and this week (28-29 November) the 15th SG meeting of PA10 in Prague, Czech Republic was organized.

Discussing participation in the Czech Republic - 2nd National Participation Day in the Czech Republic
On 13 November 2018, the Senate of the Parliament of the Czech Republic and the Platforma rozvoje NNO welcomed around 80 participants at the 2nd National Participation Day in the Czech Republic. The event aimed at exchanging on experiences, opportunities and pitfalls of participatory governance and civic engagement. The examples showed that local decision-making can play a crucial role to overcome frustration and inertia in civic engagement and high quality in participatory governance needs patience and persistence.

First Slovene National Participation Day
Center for European Perspective as co-coordinator of the Priority Area 10 – Institutional Capacity and Cooperation – EU Strategy for the Danube Region organized a meeting where about 60 participants from different fields were gathered – NGOs, institutions, ministries, agencies, private companies, municipalities, institutes, faculties and universities. They agreed that such networking event was indispensable and that it would be reasonable to repeat it sooner and even in greater number.
