On 5 and 6 March 2019, members of the Danube Local Actors Platform (D-LAP) met in Vienna discussing the next Danube Participation Day 2019, the revision of the EUSDR Action Plan and the next steps of cooperation.

Cities send a strong message on social rights
21 European cities signed pledges showing a real commitment to implement the principles of the European Pillar of Social Rights through dedicated investments at local level. So far, 4 cities from the Danube Region - Stuttgart, Ljubljana, Vienna, and Timisoara - joined the initiative launched by EuroCities. Both the European Parliament and the European Commission were impressed by this strong commitment. Cities can still join the initiative!

Invitation to the final conferences of the DTP projects contributing to the PA10 priorities

Projects that received financing through the first call for proposals of the Danube Transnational Programme are slowly coming to their final months. There were four projects whose objectives have fallen under priority area 10 and we are kindly inviting you to join their final conferences and learn from their results.

New b-solutions call is open now
The initiative b-solutions opened a new call for proposals to tackle legal and administrative cross border obstacles. Applicants have the opportunity to submit their proposals for small-scale projects until 15 March. The initaitive is managed by the Association of European Border Regions (AEBR) and funded by the European Commission (DG REGIO).

European Commission published 2nd MRS Report
The European Commission recently published the second report on the implementation of macro-regional strategies. The report aimed at examining recent regional development in view of the strategies and their potential regarding the coordination of funding for the period 2021-2027.

experienced the added value of transnational cooperation, the transfer
of good practices beyond national borders, and the participatory
approach to policy-making.
