Setting standards for smart cities
How to observe progress of smart city approaches? A research consortium from Finland, Austria and Netherlands funded by Horizon 2020 worked with European cities and EuroCities on finding an answer to this question. The result are the Smart City Key Performance Indicators that facilitate evaluating the progress of the diverse smart city concepts.

The BACID programme organises in cooperation with the RCC and ReSPA the conference "Unlocking Benefits of public participation in decision-making" in Vienna on 11 June 2018. The conference discusses the added-value of public participation and how it can be embedded in decision-making processes.

ROMACT Call for capacity building and transnational cooperation
The Council of Europe (CoE) opened the last Call of the Transnational Cooperation and Capacity Building component of the ROMACT programme. The call aims at assisting local authorities in improving their integration efforts of migrated Roma. Applicants have the chance to submit their Expression of Interest until 16 July 2018.

Young Danube Experts join an entrepreneurial programme in Slovenia
Priority Area 10 is supporting young entrepreneurs through a programme “Facilitating Enhanced Cooperation among Young Danube Experts” which brings together youngsters from ten Danube countries to the Podim conference. They will gather in Maribor, Slovenia, between 14 and 16 May.
