Actors of Urban Change - Funding local change
Actors of Urban Change is a program that aims at supporting sustainable and participatory urban development through cultural activities. The activities are considered to strengthen cross-sector collaboration among stakeholders from the cultural, public and private sectors.
Actors of Urban Change is funded by the Robert Bosch Stiftung in cooperation with MitOst e.V. and takes place from autumn 2017 to summer 2019.

Tailor-made support for public administration - The Structural Reform Support Programme
The Structural Reform Support Programme of the European Commission provides technical assistance to public administrations in order to implement more effective institutions, stronger governance frameworks and efficient public administrations. The programme has a budget of EUR 142.8 million to spend until 2020.

The alignment of funding is one of the core issues of macro-regional strategies. Interact now published the study "Embedding macro-regional strategies" that analysed how well the EU Stragey for the Danube Region and the EU Strategy for the Adiratic Ionian Region were embedded in EU funding programmes 2014-2020.

Representatives from politics, public administration and civil society discussed opportunities for cooperation in the Danube Region and the need for involvin civil society for the successful implementation of the EU Strategy for the Danube Region.

Awareness of benefits from EU Regional Policy is on the rise
According to the latest Eurobarometer report on EU Regional Policy, 3 in 4 EU citizens think that EU Regional Policy has a positive impact in their citiy or region.
While public awareness of the funding instruments of Cohesion Policy slowly rise, the visibility of EU macro-regional strategies is still very low.
