ROMACT Call for Expression of Interest for Capacity Building and Transnational Cooperation- Deadline 8 May 2017
ROMACT TCC aims at assisting local authorities in better integrating marginalised people, in particular non-nationals of Roma ethnicity. It is based on the assumption that local authorities are best placed to identify challenges and needs in their territories as no one-size solution fits all. It also draws on expertise of the Council of Europe, more notably in interventions at local level, intercultural training and Roma mediators training.

Around 30 representatives from civil society organisations, public administrations and academia met at the 6th meeting of the Danube Local Actors Platform in Vienna on 21 March discussing activities planned in the Danube Region, possibilities for cooperation and providing input for the 4th Danube Participation Day in autumn.

Digitisation has a great influence on work and employment. It not only provides innovative services, increased productivity as well as more choices for consumers, but has also a considerable impact on the labour market and the organisation of labour in the Danube Region. But what are the possibilities for workers and their representatives in shaping their working environment? How do we establish a balance between good working conditions and employer's requirements?
On 24 April 2017, the project danube@work kick-off conference "Fit for the world of digital work" in Vienna will deal with these issues and other challenges of digitisation of work.

Call for Danube Region Start-ups – Join the Leading Regional Start-up Conference
For the third year in a row, Centre for European Perspective (CEP) offers its support to the young entrepreneurs from the region and youngsters with entrepreneurial ideas, who want to develop and launch their projects. In order to do so, we organize a call for applications in cooperation with the leading regional start up conference PODIM, that takes place every May in Maribor, Slovenia. Having focused predominantly on the countries of the Western Balkans in the previous years, we are now turning to the Danube region as well.

Gender equality is an integral part of European law. But reality still lags behind. On the International Women's Day, the European Commission published a report on equality between women and men: progress is noticeable but uneven.
